As part of the ICCITX.0 2024 conference in Rabat during September 22nd-24th, 2024, we are organizing a special session on the optimization of Healthcare Management Systems. We have the pleasure to invite you to participate to it.
Session Abstract:
The hospital’s logistics function is complex; it manages the flow of products and very different distribution channels and constraints and meets strict safety and traceability. Healthcare is one of the sectors that can offer many practical application challenges to the optimization and the decision-making community. This special session focusses on applications, algorithms, and decision supports related to healthcare management systems. It aims to provide the public with an overview of current research themes in operational research and statistics applied to the field of health. Additionally, the session aims to stimulate new ideas and interesting discussions on different applications of optimization techniques to healthcare data.

The special session on “Technological Applications Based on Heuristic and Metaheuristic Approaches” aims to bring together researchers, experts, engineers, software developers working on the application of optimization techniques combining the original objective and (some of) the constraints in various technological domains. In this context, it is important and necessary to develop new optimization tools based on a better consideration of specificities of innovative technologies to respond to major societal and environmental challenges. The focus will be on heuristic and metaheuristic approaches, mainly with non-linear and non-convex natures, in a reasonable time and especially with bilevel optimization under uncertainty, exploring their challenges, opportunities, and outcomes in contexts such as robotics, industrial systems, smart-grids, electric vehicle, cyber-physical systems, logistics and supply chain management, telecommunications, etc.

L'innovation est un champ de recherche carrefour. Il se situe à l'intersection de plusieurs spécialités telles que L’Ingénierie, La Recherche & Développement, l'IA, etc. Cette prédominance pour la recherche technologique passe sous silence que l'Innovation est aussi un sujet de prédilection des sciences sociales telles que la Sociologie et le Management. Les Innovations Managériales ou organisationnelles se définissent comme une nouvelle configuration de système sociotechnique pour permettre aux organisations une plus grande croissance dans son domaine. Elles peuvent concerner le choix d'une nouvelle orientation stratégique, une modification de la structure, l'adoption d'un nouveau mode de management, etc. Elles sont plus tournées vers l'intérieur de l'organisation. Par opposition aux innovations technologiques qui sont orientées vers l'extérieur. En l'occurrence, vers les clients, les usagers, etc. Ce champ novateur occupe moins de place dans le débat malgré son rôle fondamental pour comprendre la genèse de l'innovation, le changement qu'elle implique et les difficultés pour fédérer toutes les parties prenantes autour de l'innovation.
